Blogg post #7

In the two stories that i read the only difference is that the story Christmas was a happy story and Rip Van Winkle was a sad one for the main character.

Title: Rip Van Winkle
Author: Washington Irving
# of pgs: 26-44

This tory was about a man who got drunk at a party one night and falls asleep in a farm for 20 years and when he finaly wakes up no one know him and everything has changed.

Title: Christmas
Author: Washington Irving
# of pages: 176-181

in this story the author talks about how Christmas is like.

*My last story i will read will definatly be The Legend of Sleepy Hollow*

Alexander-
Good work with keeping up on your posts. In your 8th post, let's see some thoughts on thesis statements. Maybe you can expand on your ideas about why Irving writes in a positive, happy way somethings any in darker ways other times. Does his writing style reflect these changes in theme?
